Jason Drakeford has a wide breadth of experience in every creative industry, working with publications (The New York Times, Scientific American), ad agencies (BBDO, Razorfish), and in-house creative teams (MTV, MailChimp, Showtime Network), and museums (The American Museum of Natural History, National Archive Museum) to create compelling, design-driven stories.
He’s led diverse teams to create award-winning work over the years and constantly pushes himself into new creative mediums. He was hired as a “professor of practice” in 2020 at Georgia State University Creative Media Industry Institute (CMII) to integrate his hands-on production approach into the classroom, and he continues to inspire his students with cross-disciplinary collaborations centered around social justice and civil rights.
He delivers passionate talks at events and travels as a guest speaker to talk about his approach to education with a learning-by-doing project-based approach.
He is a creative force in the industry and continues to make new versions to this publication to keep it relevant in this ever-changing creative industry.
